About the designs and sources of inspiration

Tamara has trained in Floristry and Art (in which she also lectures) and draws on advanced floristry techniques to create hand made and individually designed pieces, whether it be jewellery, decorative objects or flowers. This unique perspective exposes her to techniques not normally seen in jewellery and homewares which she then takes and applies to her design and construction.

The focus is on re-cycling, re-using and re-modelling components and this plays a large part in the creative process, therefore each piece has a story behind it, a wonderful history. Many of the vintage beads and buttons are from Tamara's Mother and Grandmother giving her work that distinct edge that simply cannot be repeated.

From the beginning Tamara's work has attracted attention, often being stopped in the street by passers-by to find out where she bought her necklace! Her work is currently sold in select stores and art markets or contact Tamara direct for sales via info@tamaraharrison.com.au or on 0412 050 374.
