dowerin field days

August 22nd, 2011

Ooooo it’s time.….……

Will be going to the Dowerin Field Days this week on Wed 24th & Thur 25th to promote Perth Upmarket and, of course, my Tamara Harrison Design creations.

On show will be my brand new wedding line of jewellery, including the fast selling out bouquets, Bronze Up Baby range, Crushed Wire pieces and a full array of my signature designs.

Also available will be Wedding Upmarket 2011 Wedding Guides for $5.00 for those who may have missed the Wedding Upmarket on Saturday the 13th.

I will take plenty of pictures and will post over the coming weeks.

PS. I just love the tractor in the Dowerin image!

wedding upmarket a raging success

August 16th, 2011

So Saturday was a brilliant day. Blue sunny sky, warm but not too hot, Swan river in all her glorious blueness and fantastic stallholders and visitors alike.

Here are some images from the day.

Me as usual with mouth open!

The very beautiful Michelle wearing the neckpiece that is missing from display in previous image. Whoops, didn’t shuffle stall too well did I! Michelle was just one of the roaming models that did a fantastic job on the day.

Custom made wire bouquet frame so brides can make their own bouquet. See the water in the background? Beautiful isn’t it?

More will be posted soon!

favourite things day seven

August 3rd, 2011

Hmmmmmmmm, I realised that a manifestation of what goes on in my head is pinned up on my inspiration board in my favourite room of the house — the studio.

Want to see it???

Here it is, un-edited, true, honest (read as: not all tidied up just for the photo!)

THE board in all it’s glory

Crocheted bird nest on branch. Laser cut wood keys

This old tag was in a jar of old bolts and bits that Dad gave me.

Isn’t it wonderful that the things that inspire us are most usually free!! (or very cost effective anyway!)

i love pretty things

July 26th, 2011

Have you discovered the amazing site ‘I Love pretty Things’?

Well who of us doesn’t love pretty things????.…… and there is a wonderful collection of just that, put together by Kelly Exeter.

She is the owner and Creative Director of Swish Design, a Perth based graphic and web design company. Being a girl and a designer, she LOVES pretty things.

Read her story here. Kelly reviews pretty much anything that is pretty and she especially loves reviewing Australian businesses created by Australian mums.

I love her Pretty Directory where you can discover some amazing designers. Some, I think, fall into the best kept secret category. Lets keep them a secret no more!!

Here are just a couple of things Kelly would hang in the window if she had a shop.….. just beautiful!

Have fun exploring the world of ‘I Love Pretty Things’ and thank you Kelly for bringing it to us!

ruby red bouquet

July 26th, 2011

I can’t seem to get enough of vintage music sheet blooms. These ones are hand cut, hand made by me with little red button centres.

Imagine how wonderful it could be for your children and grandchildren to have a non traditonal flower bouquet as an heirloom in the family!

What do you think?

Would you (or did you) carry something other than fresh flowers for your wedding?

I would love to hear your stories.

The red wire feature in this bouquet is my favourite part!

something new we’re working on

July 17th, 2011

What are your thoughts on this style of bridal bouquet? Your feedback really helps me fine tune designs so please leave a comment.

It is handmade featuring new and vintage buttons, beads, fresh water pearls and hand cut, hand made, vintage music sheet flowers.

favourite things day six

July 14th, 2011

Thanks to my lovely sis and the loan of her camera, fav things is back!!

Now how can I get to day six and not have mentioned flowers? Flowers and I go back 20+ years as a career and even further into my childhood as Nana was always cutting blooms from their garden and arranging them around her house.

Here are some around my house at the moment.
